other than the dignity.The Indian team proved themselves superior against the cricketing giant Pakistan, who was felt to be a minnow competitors.
Pakistan on the other hand came with much expectation on beating Indian side in the world cup for the
time.But it was proved to be Indian day as usual.As they beat Pakistan by 76 runs.
The Indian innings' was build up by strong comeback 73(76) from Shikhar Dhawan.
And First century against Pakistan by an Indian at the World Cup came from Virat Kohli 107(126).
The India inning's got a Midas touch from Suresh Raina with his power pack 74(56), with 3 sixes.
Sohail Khan of Pakistan was pick of the bowler with 5 wickets give 55 runs in 10 overs.
With a fast collapse of bottom order India made mammoth 300-7(50), less than what they laid before but huge to defend for the Pakistani batsmen.
Pakistan inning start with a blunder when experience Younis khan was caught out in the 4th over.
Pakistan try to build up its inning slowly but, the wickets keep vanishing.
Afridi and misbah show a little hope but pakistan but couldn't keep it going.
The only man fighting was the captain Misbah-ul-haq, who scored 76(118) before getting out og shami's pace. Mohammed Shami was pick of the bowler with 4-35(9).
And inning was way over just an over later on 224(all-out) and India is still unbeaten against Pakistan in the World Cup, since they first met in 1992.
And reading rises to 6-0.
